About Us

tina

Tina Thompson is a registered dietitian who earned her dietetics degree from the University of California at Davis and her masters degree in clinical nutrition at the University of Kentucky. She has been honored with Kentucky's Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year and Kentucky's Outstanding Dietitian of the Year awards. Her specialties include eating disorders, mindfulness and intuitive eating through a weight inclusive, non-diet lens.  She is an Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS-S) and Supervisor, certified by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).  

Tina is trained in MB-EAT - an evidence-based mindfulness program for binge eating and emotional over-eaters. In her free time, Tina enjoys reading, hiking and traveling with her family.

Emily Gogel is a registered dietitian nutritionist who earned her Bachelor’s degree and completed her internship at the University of Kentucky. After working as a clinical dietitian in Indianapolis, Emily found her passion in private practice working at Bluegrass Nutrition Counseling providing nutrition counseling to those seeking treatment for eating disorders and disordered eating. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). She has a passion for empowering her clients to improve their health with the weight inclusive, Health At Every Size framework and providing Intuitive Eating Workshops. Emily has co-hosted several National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA) walks to fundraise for and increase awareness about eating disorder treatment. She is also a preceptor for future dietitians through the University of Kentucky Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. 

Emily enjoys reading, playing board games, and having fun outdoors with friends and family in her free time.

Emily Bundy is a registered dietitian who earned her dietetics degree from Eastern Kentucky University as well as her masters degree in clinical mental health counseling.  After working as a therapist and inpatient clinical dietitian, Emily followed her passion for nutrition counseling to those seeking treatment for eating disorders and disordered eating in the outpatient setting. She strives to create a supportive and empowering space where clients can explore nourishment without judgement and focuses on helping clients rebuild trust with their bodies and their relationship with food. 

Emily enjoys reading, baking, biking, outdoor adventures with her husband, Chris, and two dogs, Boone and Zoey as well as crocheting while watching 80's classics like Murder, She Wrote.








nolan

Nolan Buland is a registered dietitian who earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and completed his dietetic internship through the University of Kentucky Coordinated Program. He went on to complete his Master’s degree in Nutritional Science with a focus on clinical nutrition through UK’s College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences.

Nolan began his career in acute care cardiology before discovering a passion for working with medically complex patients and individuals with eating disorders. He currently works full time at Golisano Children’s Hospital, where he has spent the past three years caring for pediatric patients with eating disorders.

Nolan approaches eating disorders as outdated maladaptive coping mechanisms. Using this compassionate lens, he helps clients better understand the deeper roots of their relationship with food and supports them in building healthier, more sustainable patterns.

Outside of work, Nolan enjoys rock climbing, painting miniature figures, playing disc golf, and spending time with his cat, Marigold.

Erick Lewis is a registered dietitian who earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, as well as a Master's in Nutritional Science. His experience includes medical nutrition therapy in acute and long term care settings, teaching at the collegiate level, as well as a focus in eating disorders in child and adolescent populations at the PHP and IOP levels of care. Erick takes a compassionate, judgment-free approach to his work with patients and their families.

Erick enjoys playing board games, cooking for his friends and family, and spoiling his dog (June) and his two cats (Luna and Lila)!

Marisa Campbell is the part-time office assistant at Bluegrass. She has a Bachelor's degree from Hollins College and runs a business. In her free time she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and dogs.
